SMOLDER - A POEM BY A.H. SCOTT

SMOLDER!!

Got a light?
Oh, I don't think we a need a match
You smolder, baby
Like touching a hot stove, when I was a little girl
My mama said, "Be careful, don't touch that. It's too hot"
But, there's some levels of heat which a being desires to linger on
You smolder, baby
Confident and cool
Just like his distinctive car hitting high speed on a dirt road
You smolder, baby
Bringin' up patches of dust when you ride
Too fast! Full o' pride!
Damn, Mister McQueen!
I like the ebb and flow of your titillating tide
That stove was like a glacier, when I compare it to you
You smolder, baby
And, I guess a singed pinky is a tiny price for little ol' me to pay for a briefest of touch
After all, some burns are a quite worthy bliss
You smolder, baby
Let me linger upon a single kiss
S M O L D E R!!
