Throughout history's dawn, men have gone from grunting in illuminated caves to giving words of eloquence in chambers of cool reflection.

Warrior's roar in rooms far from the public eye begins to massage the design for military conflict.

Of course, there are the cheerleaders; whose pom-poms of colored strands of plastic are transformed into Brooks Brothers' suits with Rolex' upon their wrists. The people within nations never see these men on ballots to be voted upon. And, when these men do place their ideas within the public sphere; they are so finely scripted that Frank Capra could be directing them.

Gotta get the ball rolling.....

Then, that final cherry atop this stalk of a symantical samba, is the warrior with deft skill of speech. Ah, yes, he becomes the face who will sell the public this can of fractured theories and hidden realities. Polls have ruled that he is trusted and a good leader. So, the face is in place.

In the modern day, it's a question of naming a villain and nominating yourself as the hero. Oh, of course, there are bad guys in this world. No doubt about it. But, the question is; if you go after every bad guy, will YOU be the person who gets on that plane and goes to kick their ass? Hmm, I don't think so.

The men in the mahogany lined rooms don't ever get their own hands dirty in these ammunition arcades called military actions.

Gentlemen, let's start the machine....

Pipes of freedom are gently played to lull nations to sleep and get the masses to stand up for this hallowed theory of freedom. Oh, that's easy to do. Just beat that drum of patriotism a bit louder and get the public into a certain rhythm of suiting up for war.

Greed is denied by any who start the war machine up. Yet, when we go to war; the corporations, private contractors and other miscellaneous entities have a way of tissue-papering over their own avarice with white parchments from think tank to ideological foundations across the spectrum.

"WAR is a racket. It always has been. It is possibly the oldest, easily the most profitable, surely the most vicious. It is the only one international in scope. It is the only one in which the profits are reckoned in dollars and the losses in lives. A racket is best described, I believe, as something that is not what it seems to the majority of the people. Only a small "inside" group knows what it is about. It is conducted for the benefit of the very few, at the expense of the very many. Out of war a few people make huge fortunes." - Major General Smedley Darlington Butler, United States Marine Corps, 1933

And, the racketeer is not a SHE, but always a HE.

Erection of election has it's place.

Under those unfurled banners of freedom and white-gloved vessels of greed; there lies a third essence of overcompensation's afterglow.

Oppression's ocean is the tide of tears and ruined lives, which are feignly submerged under the rah-rah's of accomplished missions and Lionhearted leadership.

"When the power of love overcomes the love of power, the world will know peace" - Jimi Hendrix, musician

If there is an ascending accelerator which turns on the war machine, where is the stand-down button?

"When man chooses to speak and actually listen to one another, than to fight; then a reflexive thirst for war will wane" - A.H. Scott

Or, maybe a cigar is just a cigar. And, overcompensation is just that blunt a truth.
