LIFE & TIMES

Those who are wise give respect to the past
Times are a changin', for the touchstones of mighty timber are silenced by the final resting of souls
Artistry never fades, even when an artist dies
Fools of fizzled pop are hypnotized beneath their own public relations, for they think they are the ones who took the path right in this moment
Be wise, I say to the youth
Always remember the torch is passed from generations of pioneers to you
To the young whippersnappers, the truth blares from the legends to you all, "YOU AIN'T SPECIAL! You are just young"
This quartet's dues were paid in full with drive, thrive and one hell of a will to survive
So, two of these four artists may now be gone
But, as long as there's a guitar to pick or pen to make the words twist and groove; then LIFE & TIMES ain't never gonna EVER vanish from view
