LITTLE EYES - A POEM BY A.H. SCOTT

Little Eyes

by

A.H. Scott

Little eyes hears the tears you cried
As this economy has continued to slide
Little eyes looks up to you
You try to keep a brave face
Praying your job won't be replaced
Praying that the bank foreclosure won't lead to disclosure
And, the innocence of those little eyes falls upon ya'
Little eyes giggles when playing a game
As a parent to them, the good times will never be the same
Put away your toys, my little boy and girl
Here, grab my hand and let your parents take you for a whirl
My dear one, rest those little eyes
Tomorrow will be better for you and I
Hope is all I have for my little eyes....
