BROKEN - THE POETRY OF A.H. SCOTT

Image may contain: 1 person, text

Broken
Heel on my shoes, as I run into your arms at your homecoming
I wasn't sure what to expect, but I never let my nervousness be seen by you
Tiny flags waved by all who were there,
Yet, when I saw your face, neither of us seemed to care
Broken
Your body from the grenade to took your left limb
That silver crutch you hold onto so tightly
Now, I hold your other arm and embrace you lightly…….

The road home isn’t always paradise when your world has become “Broken”.

“The Poetry Of A.H. Scott: Broken”.
